Dr. Barbara K. Siwy was the first woman in Indiana to earn board certification in Plastic Surgery. She accomplished this in 1986; one year after completing her training in Plastic Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Siwy taught Plastic Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine for seven years before opening her northside private practice. Patient education continues to be of great importance to her and she encourages her patients to share in surgical decision making. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, The Lipoplasty Society of North America, the American Medical Association, the Indiana State Medical Association and the Indianapolis Medical Society.
